Bob Habersat is a Chicago based guitarist and music educator. He received his bachelor's degree in Music Education and Jazz Studies from Elmhurst College. He has studied guitar and jazz pedagogy with Mike Pinto, Frank Portolese, Doug Beach and Neal Alger.

Currently, Bob teaches Honors Music Theory 1, Honors Applied Music Theory, Guitar 1, Guitar 2, Guitar Studio, and Music Technology at Oak Lawn Community High School. In addition to these curricular classes, he directs two electric guitar ensembles and the drumline. In the last four years he has built an audio and video recording studio called “The Shed” which is used to create content for the OLCHS website.

When Bob is not teaching you can find him playing in jobbing bands and jazz groups in the city of Chicago. He just recently finished a residency at a Ahimsa Yoga Studio playing live loops and soundscapes for classes. Outside of music, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with his wife Kristin and daughter Brooke.

Paul Levy was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He received a BM in Jazz Studies from The Ohio State University. Paul also attended DePaul University for Music Education and holds a Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music.

Paul is currently the Band Director at Oak Lawn Community High School. In addition to teaching the band classes, he also runs the class piano program and co­teaches a curricular jazz improvisation class.

Paul is also an active performer in the Chicagoland area where he plays saxophone. As a performer, Paul has played at various national and international jazz festivals and venues including the Montreux Jazz Festival, St. Lucia Jazz Festival, Ocho Rios Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center, and Blues Alley.

Paul has studied with numerous gifted musicians and educators including Dr. Ted McDaniel, Pharez Whitted, Gene Walker, Pete Mills, Dr. David Fodor, Dr. Laura Sindberg, and Dr. Charles Menghini.

When Paul is not teaching, he enjoys digging through record bins and spending time with his wife Megan and daughter Rebekah.
